skully purse album25 viewsI used sweet skully kit to make this fold out purse album. The accordian pages are tied with ribbon to hold closed. velcro dot keeps "purse" closed. google eyes on die cut for fun! I cut out hearts from the left over skully paper to use as cutouts throughout the album.. I used black cardstock w/sizzix circle die cut neg to make owl face w/ heart as the nose..
I also used the alpha die cuts as a template to cut different colored letters.

Rusty Pickle Amazing Race Party!508 viewsI really wanted to play with the Git Er Dun! My 11 year old son had a cowboy birthday when he turned one. I made a paper bag guest book that I will be turning into a momento for his birthday. When he turned one, I had the guests write him notes. I think it is a great idea to always have a guest book at parties and events. I love to see the notes people leave behind. I wish I would have had these supplies back then! I used Git R Dun to create a banner, center piece, invitation, and guest book!

Birthday Tea Party ~ Rusty Pickle Amazing Race II ~497 viewsI was a little apprehensive about this project, but once I got into it, I really got into it! The Guinevere line reminded me of a fancy tea party, so I went with that. The theme was a birthday tea party for my little girl. The invitation reads: You are cordially invited to afternoon tea to help celebrate my 4th birthday with me. Please come dressed in your Sunday or dress-up best and we will take care of the rest! I dressed my little girl up and had her pretend to drink from a teacup when I took her picture. The photo is on the front of the invitation.
The little purse is a goody-bag/thank you bag which contains a little tea cup with candy and a tag on the front that reads: When you use this cup for some tea, I hope you will remember how happy you made me when you came to my 4th birthday party! Love and Hugs, Makele.
I bought a tray, painted the sides, and then applied some paper to the bottom and sides. I then applied a few coats of thick gloss sealer. I decorated the teapot, teacup, candle and hat to use as table decorations. Finally, I made a little teacup place card.
This was such a blast to do – the Guinevere papers and trims were absolutely gorgeous – one of my favorite lines, I think!

I found a Tray and had a piece of glass cut for it and decorated underneath the glass so you could set things on it. *Rusty Pickle Amazing Race* Island Summer Luau472 viewsHere is my LUAU using the Island Summer line from Rusty Pickle! I created an invitation out of a flip flop, By cutting up some of the papers I was able to create a napkin ring, a cupcake topper, a placecard and even decorate a pitcher for island fruit punch! My centerpiece is filled with bright, summery pinwheels and there is even a banner (i set it atop the table for a better view) that welcomes party-goers with ALOHA!

Valentine Party Ensemble (Rusty Pickle Amazing Race)457 viewsThis was a super fun project to make :) I used the Fair Verona Line of pp's. We were asked to make 4 pieces of an party ensemble, I made 5!

"Aloha"448 viewsThis is my entry for the final pit stop - I used the the island summer collection to create a fun and festive array of party accents.
If you click on the images below, they do open up bigger.
For the invitation- I made a surfboard complete with leg rope out of chipboard and mounted it onto an altered piece pf card from the RP trims. The surfboard actually slides out and the party details are on the reverse.
Using the jumbo monograms and a few other bits and pieces, I created a PARTY banner backdrop.
Whats a summer party without ambiance - I made tealight covers complete with Faux grass skirt trim. (I love the look of these)
For place setting cards I made little stand up surfboards with a chipboard negative letter for the name.
For a little extra party feel and so drinks don't get mixed up - I created wine glass trims with their initials on them. I also altered drink swizzles with initials for those who don't drink wine.
For a little extra added touch - I also created fruit kebab skewers with cut out flowers on the ends and little tooth picks with surfboards.
As a final thankyou - I altered takeout boxes, included a little thankyou tag and some goodies inside.
