Chalking

Use make-up wedges, and unused kitchen sponge cut into pieces, or for smaller areas you can just use a cotton swab or chalking tool. You may also paint with chalk using your H2O brush (available in or basics section under coloring).

To chalk a tear you will probably want to use a make-up wedge. You can also give a piece of paper a weathered look by tearing the edges, scrunching it, then flattening it and chalking the edges and then the rest of the piece. To age, rub torn edges with a brown stamp pad.

Finish your stickers, die-cuts, and punch outs by using a Q-tip end and adding a dab a pink to cheeks or a scuff of brown to a knee or face to add a little dirt. You'll come up with lots of places to add a little chalk.

For painting you may use your H2O brush (Basics - Coloring) and brush it along the corner of your chalk. You may also use this technique with your stamp pads.

To create a color wash background paper use a cut up kitchen sponge or craft sponge, a white piece of card stock, and your chalks. Apply chalk in a swirling motion over the card stock until you reach the desired background. You can also do this with a white tag from our embellishment section under tags.
