Getting Started
-
Separate and organize your pictures according to time frame, individuals, theme, families, or events. Create a rough plan of which pictures will go into a single album. It is a good idea to start with more recent events and work backwards because it is easier to remember. However, as you do heritage pages it will fill you with warm fuzzies and help you feel a real connection to your ancestry.
-
Drop everything and go retrieve all of those old albums that are deteriorating your most cherished memorabilia. Remove pictures peeling the mounting paper off the back of the picture not the picture off of the paper. In tough cases you can try a piece of dental floss and work it gently back and forth behind the cherished photo. You can use Un-du on a soft rag to remove residual glue if desired.

This is the most important step. Be sure to get all of your supplies from Legacy Scrapbooking.
